Science: Materials; Pupils should think about the properties of materials that make them suitable or unsuitable for particular purposes and they should be encouraged to think about unusual and creative uses for everyday materials.
Science: Forces; compare how things move on different surfaces.
Design and Technology: design innovative, functional, appealing products that are fit for purpose; select from and use a wide range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks; select from and use a wide range of materials and components according to their functional properties and aesthetic qualities; evaluate their ideas and products and consider the views of others to improve their work; understand and use electrical systems in their products.
Mathematics: Measurement; Measure lengths; Compare duration of events; Calculate average speed.
